Lament, 24" x 36"

Lament is a painted prayer, done over weeks. Initially I wrote out a prayer on the large canvas. Then I painted over words I thought unnecessary until the core prayer stood by itself. Created during a season of grief, this is the end result of a lament that is filled with hope.
